ABSTRACT:
First published in 1998, the MEMS Industry Commercialization Report Card (Report Card) Study and Report is created and conducted by Roger Grace Associates annually to monitor the “health” of the worldwide MEMS industry. Evaluating 14  critical success factors and supporting verbatim from the respondents, the Report Card Study uses a modified “Delphi Method" based on the opinions of a minimum of 40 globally acknowledged MEMS industry experts. The grade level results of the Report Card will be presented, including the most insightful verbatim comments from the respondents. The results provide significant insights into addressing commercialization barriers and actionable strategies for achieving commercialization success. This session will also address:

• Report Card research methodology
•  Status of MEMS in its life cycle
• Business strategies and tactics for achieving business success

Respondents opined that MEMS had achieved a mature level in the life cycle transitioning from its previous growth phase. The presentation will address these findings and provide vitamins which provide rationale for their opinions. Recommendations on how to modify current business tactics and strategies to optimize success in this new phase will be provided.
